Blushh Terms of Service (User Agreement)
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Hassan Adegoke, a sole proprietor doing business as Blushh (“Blushh,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Blushh app. By creating an account or using Blushh, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Blushh.
1. Who can use Blushh (eligibility)
You may use Blushh only if you:
- are 18 years of age or older;
- are a currently enrolled college student; and
- can form a binding contract and are not barred from using the service under applicable law.
Your account is created and verified with your phone number. You may optionally verify a
valid school (.edu) email address to display a verified-student badge on your profile —
the badge is optional, but being an enrolled student is not. If you stop being an enrolled
student, we may suspend or end your access. We may verify eligibility at any time (including
in response to user reports) and remove accounts that don't qualify.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your profile truthful.
- One account per person. No impersonation, no accounts on behalf of others.
- You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login secure.
- You may not transfer or sell your account.
3. Acceptable use & community rules
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, defame, or abuse anyone;
- post nudity, sexually explicit content, or any content sexualizing minors (zero tolerance — we report child sexual abuse material to authorities);
- use Blushh if you are under 18 or help anyone under 18 access it;
- solicit money, run scams, “catfish,” advertise, or spam;
- post content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes others' rights;
- collect other users' data, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service;
- use the app to facilitate prostitution, trafficking, or any illegal activity.
Violations can result in immediate suspension or permanent removal, and where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, bio, messages, and other content you submit. You grant Blushh a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit that content solely to operate and provide the service (for example, showing your profile to matches and delivering your messages). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in routine backups for a limited period, or as needed to comply with law or enforce safety.
You are solely responsible for your content and represent that you have the right to share it.
5. Safety — please read carefully
Blushh helps you discover and meet other students in person. Meeting people carries real risk, and you are responsible for your own safety.
- We do not conduct criminal background checks or identity verification on users beyond phone-number verification. Email verification is optional and only confirms control of a school email address — neither a verified phone nor a verified-student badge is a guarantee of anyone's identity, intentions, character, or safety.
- You interact with other users at your own risk. Use good judgment: meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your instincts.
- Blushh does not supervise, and is not responsible for, the conduct of any user, online or in person, including anything that happens when you meet.
- If you feel unsafe, contact local emergency services. Report bad actors in the app so we can act.
By using Blushh you acknowledge these risks and agree that you assume them.
6. Location & Bluetooth features
Blushh's core feature uses your device's location and Bluetooth to detect when a match is nearby. These features work only when you enable them, and you can pause them any time with Ghost mode. How we handle this data is described in the Privacy Policy. Your exact location is never shown to another user.
7. Moderation & termination
We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe harm users or the service, with or without notice. You may stop using Blushh and delete your account at any time in the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., content license limits, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute resolution) survive.
8. Third-party services
Blushh relies on third parties (such as Supabase, Twilio, Resend, Apple, Google, and Expo) and may link to venues or other third-party content. We're not responsible for third-party services, venues, or offers, including any date-venue suggestions or discounts, which are provided for convenience only.
9. Disclaimers
Blushh is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that proximity detection will always work, or that you will find a match. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blushh and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss or harm arising from: your interactions or meetings with other users; the conduct of any user; your inability to access the service; or unauthorized access to your data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Blushh will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blushh and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
12. Dispute resolution & governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We'll revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
